For the first time in my life, we went to watch the Songs Of The Sea show at Sentosa. It’s been running for over 7 years and 8.5 million people have seen it! Those are amazing statistics, and I’m glad that we were invited to be catch one of the last few shows.
The show started at 740pm and lasted approximately 20 minutes. If you have young kids like me, you’ll probably also have concerns about the heat, whether the show would be interesting, whether anyone would be tired, etc.
Thankfully, the stars were aligned and everyone was in pretty good spirits. We started off with having an early dinner at McD’s, then we had to wait another hour at the media event but luckily the three were able to entertain each other. Life’s more fun with more friends, isn’t it? When we finally got to our seats we had to wait a while more (oh joy!) and it was sweltering due to the humidity and NO wind. But we managed to make it without any meltdowns although I was already melting, and the show was absolutely captivating! Lots to see, songs, lights, water. Definitely fun for all including toddlers.
Riding on the success of Songs of the Sea is the new show, Wings of Time, which will start its run from 17 June onwards at the same outdoor theatre as Songs of the Sea. It promises new thrills and spills (hur hur) in this family-friendly extravaganza about adventure, courage and friendship.
I have four sets of Song Of The Sea DVDs to give away, for all those who have enjoyed the show and want to relive the moments, or those who didn’t manage to catch the show and want to see what the who hoo-ha is about. Of course, nothing beats watching the show in person!
The DVDs are sponsored by the kind people of Sentosa, local postage sponspored by me. Please enter using this rafflecopter here.
Contest runs from now until June 10th. Good luck!
We were invited to attend one of the final few shows of Songs of the Sea by Sentosa. All opinions are 100% mine.
