Giveaway: Style Essence Makeover!

Last year I’ve was incredibly lucky (I think I was a wild card, ha!) to be invited to join The Singapore Mom Bloggers – a group of mummy bloggers which comprise of such a wide range of personalities, writing styles, passions, mumpreneur businesses, and inspirations. Some posts are hilarious, others informative, many are inspiring, and sometimes, there are those that are so heart-wrenching you find yourself reaching for the tissues.

Singapore Mom Bloggers turns 1 this year, and to celebrate this milestone, one of our blogger mumpreneurs, Flo Mummy, owner and founder of Style Essence, organized a style and make up workshop. The workshop included:

  • Colour Analysis
  • Personal Body shape analysis
  • Dress your way to a Slimmer, Taller, or Shorter you!
  • How to look ageless while wearing makeup.
  • How to achieve V-lined face with our complimentary face spa and young looking lips with out lip spa
  • Personal analysis on how to wear makeup that highlights your assets.
  • Demo & Hands-on makeup on latest “Instant Glow” makeup

It was a really fun session full of Aunty-talk. First we started with our body shapes and what kind of clothes and colours was the most flattering for our figures. Most mummies are “Column” shaped because of our tummies. I’ve been feeling so much like a tree trunk so I was a bit relieved to know that this is a common mothers’ shape. Although it still doesn’t make it much better feeling like an Ent (wrinkles included).

Then we talked a little about whether we were cool or warm colour skin tone and the kind of fabric colours that would compliment our skin tone. After that it was time for some fun, learning techniques for skin care and makeup using Mary Kay products – which girl doesn’t enjoy painting herself once in a while? Although the entire session was pretty short (plus we were fast chatting like old friends and all had so much to say!), I learned so much and have already put it into good use. I think the session was especially useful for mummies like myself who sometimes are so busy with our kids that we often neglect our selves. And Flo, being a mummy of two very lovely girls herself, knew exactly what us Aunty mummies need! I’ve been needing to update some of my skincare and makeup items, so I’m super excited to be receiving the items I ordered, later this week!

FUN!!

For those of you who are interested (you don’t have to be an Aunty though), Style Essence can provide 1 to 1 consultation services, or you can gather a group of 6 or more friends or colleagues and have a girly session of learning about your image, your colours, what’s trendy this season and what kind of clothes suit your body shape best (including a take home shopping guide for your body shape), together with lots of skincare and makeup tips with Mary Kay products.

  1. I want to go too! If you open my wardrobe, you will see a sea of black and I do not own any makeup set except for lipgloss. I don’t want to look boring or dull! :p

  4. Please let me go. After 7 years as a SAHM to two very active boys, my wardrobe now consists of mostly aunty market clothes. Looking at the photos pre and post kids, I realize that I have aged more than 7 years. I need to know how to dress and groom the new me.
